Well, for me its really hard to find that someone. Pretty much everyone I have ever met, always seems to have that "old wives tale" about army guys never being to commit and navy guys with "a girl in every port".
Alot of time, I find that some people will get to know me, and the minute I say something about my career - they are very quick to drop my like a boulder in a creek. Sometimes, I mention it up front - other times, a few weeks down the road, but the outcome is usually the same ............

train for a few weeks or months, come back and they have moved on.

Your ideas?

Thanks both for the replies. Lol, where you two 3 months ago?!

Truth be told, people are often very careful when getting into relationships. My last was very interested in the work that i do, but we found alot of our problems were during training hours. Unfortunatly, when training is taking place, these training periods go from a few days upto 6 months. My last relationship only lasted 3 months because I wasn't there for 2 of them, and talking over the internet wasn't enough for her.

What scares me is that even still after thousands of years man has only evolved every so slightly mentally yet our technology has evolved beyond our own humanity.

Thousands? Try over a hundred thousand.

We have evolved a great deal mentally. You are saying something that is completely unsupported by evidence. We are bigger, more intelligent and far more able to organize and use tools that ever before. But that doesn't have any impact on how much we evolved. It isn't a ladder mode.

There is no such thing as a more evolved or a less evolved being.

It is just a process to make you more suitable to your environment. Not necessarily better or worse. Just more easily able to pass on your allele to the next generation.

That being said, our technology is what it is.

Our humanity/morality/ethos will develop based on what we DO with what we have and how we treat each other irrespective of technology.

Smile

Peace

Keep your job life a secret. Just say you work for the goverment. Believe me I know your situation coz am in it too. I tell guys what I do for work, which is pretty good pay and I get damped sooner or later. So I learned to just say I work for the local goverment..lol

Its not military life that is the hard part its
RELATIONSHIPS that are hard ... the key to success in a military relationship is communication.....
everyone likes honesty and trust ... but talking is the key to success.

I have dated a guy in the military... I'll admit it isn't easy being on the other end. never knowing what is happening. but everyone is different so there will be a girl out there for you. Its just a matter of finding the right one. and assure her that she is all you want Smile
He would be gone for months and months at a time. and all i really would want would be a text or a phone call and sometimes that wasn't even possible. Sad
